first week! CHECK!

So my mom has completed her first week at her new job and I have completed my first week of being home alone for 10 hours at a time. Each day I  do a little bit better.  I even have so much confidence that she is coming back that I even will eat a  little bit every day while she is gone.

So let's see. Last Wednesday I had my first day at doggy day care.  The people there are really nice and they took some pictures of me and made a little "my first day" sign for mom.  The lady said I am very photogenic...guess it runs in  the family :) I was only there for about 4 hours and tomorrow I am going again for about 5 hours before I stay the whole day while mom is at work.

Mom's first week at work was good but she was tired every day that she came home.  There is no where for her to sit at any time so she is on her feet all day but she still manages to take me on my walks because she knows that I need my exercise too!!

hmmm what else is new? Yesterday mom had another hard day. She was very tired and missing JT's second birthday was very hard on her and she feels like she should already know everything at work and feels like she is in peoples way (she was never very good at starting a new job)  Today was better though! She got to meet her new DM, help out new associates and actually wasn't just in the back all day reading and working on paper work.  I ask her about work but most the time she just wants to cuddle :)

No new adventures yet.  She is having a hard time meeting people which makes me sad because I like it when she has friends over.  They like to play with me and pet me because I am so cute.  But I know this will come in time!!

A long raod

Hello everyone.  Sorry I have not written for a while.  Mom has been very busy and when she is home she takes up all my time and unfortunately I need her to log me into the computer :)

 So let's see.  Today mom started her new job as a manager in training at Hollister Co.  She was gone all day. I was home alone for 11 hours! I did really good though and when she finally got home I didn't whine at all.

Her new boyfriend seems nice.  His name is Ryan.  I like when he takes walks with us and he plays with me alot.  I like to cuddle with him a lot too.  He is really sweet to mom and it is nice to hear someone be nice and not say mean things and yell at her so I will put up with him for abit.

Other than that a lot hasn't changed.  Things are finally getting settled. Mom said she will post pictures of her apartment as soon as she puts these mirror things up that she bought.  Mom realized that we won't be able to go home for Christmas about a week ago.  That was really hard. She cried a lot.  But I guess that is all part of this experience and I will be here with her.  I am glad that her sisters are coming to visit too. Mom is really excited about it and figured out a way so that she wont have to work the entire time which is good because they can all spend time together and I am excited because there will be someone here at least part of the time that mom is at work :)

I went and visited a doggy daycare this weekend with mom and ryan.  It is nice because they dont have any cages and I can run around and have friends to play with while mom is at work. They took me in back without mom and at first I did not like it at all.  But then I made some friends and even got comfortable enough to jump on the bed they have for us to sleep on.  I guess I will be going there about once a week which will be fun for me because I will have friends to play with all day!! And mom likes it because they have live web cams so she can check on me during the day!! My first day is wednesday and I am only going for a few hours to make sure there arent any problems but after that I will be there all day while mom is working her new job!

Finally getting settled

So today mom has off which I am very excited about.  I love it when she is not at work because we go for walks and cuddle.  A lot of the day usually is her putting things away, hanging up picutes and things like that but almost everything is away...just wish she would put up a shoe rack for all her shoes!! Then I am going to help her pick up all the little things so that it is nice and clean for when she starts her new job.

Not much is going on other than that.  I started going potty better for her.  She finally figure out that if she takes me to grass I will go better :)  My new favorite spot in the house is on moms big yellow round chair.  I see a lot from there so it helps me to protect her.  

Tonight I guess she is going to actually try and make some sort of dinner (of which I am not allowed to have any :(  ) I hope she doesn't burn the house done!!! I hope everyone is well mom says she loves you and misses you!

Midnight

Well it is almost midnight here and mom is up running around putting more things away and all I want to do is go to bed...So I am laying on my little bed in the living room and thought I would do an update.

Mom worked a shorter shift today and when she got home it was light out!! So we went for a little walk but I still am not comfortable going to far from the house.  If she goes to far away from the door I freeze and won't let her take me any further (she gets mad when I do this right by the door and she has to pick me up and carry me somewhere to go to the bathroom) but what if she goes to far away and I cannot find the way back home...nope closer is comfortable.

Last night she had an old friend from grade school over that she hadn't seen since 5th grade! I guess he just moved here to so it was nice that she had someone to talk to although after she gets home from work I really do not like to share her :( I did not like this guy at first.  Who does he think he is coming into my house!! I would bark and bark and mom would get mad.  Finally she gave him one of my favorite stick treats and I wanted it so badly that I stopped barking and went up to him and took it :) After that he played with me and I guess he is alright...he even let me chew on his hand :)

I guess that big news is that I can finally tell you that mommy accepted a job as a manager in training/ assistant manager at a store called Hollister.  She is very excited because there area lot of opportunities to move in the company and move at a pretty quick pace.  I would let you know what is going on more when I do.  I hope she likes this job because she loves where she works now but she says she is not working enough (even though I think she is gone to much now) oh well.  I guess this way she can buy me more treats and blankets and beds !!!

I think that she is ready for bed now so I am going to stop and sign off.  Good night and I miss you all!!

A new start

So my mommy's mother (she doesn't like me to call her grandma) thought that I should start a blog about our recent move and what is going on.  Well she left today, and my mom had a really hard time with it.  They were crying a lot this morning which I didn't really understand until only my mom came back later in the morning. Maybe I should start at the beginning....

 So about a week ago my mom came home from..well I don't know where she was, but she came back after being gone for a long time.  She and her parents started packing up all her stuff!! I was ok until they took her bed!! Then I started to get scared.  But mom never left for very long again so eventually I settled a bit.  Well the 3 of them loaded up this thing called a trailer and her car with all of our stuff and before I knew it I was in the car for 3 days!!!!! We went all the way to the other side of the country!! I do not like the car. It was jerky and I couldnt see a lot of the time.  But mom and grandma said that I was very good in the car and they gave me a lot of treats!!  We went through WI, MN, ND, ID, and eventually WA (I guess those are states, they just kept taking pictures and getting excited when we crossed into a new "state")  Well I got to see mountains, and lots of rivers and it was very pretty.  I got to stay in hotels too.  That was fun and there were a lot of new smells all over the place! I had a lot of fun when I was not in the car

Eventually we got to my new home in Washington.  It is nice.  Smaller than I am used to but there is a park close to my house that my mom takes me to so that I can run :)

When we first got here I was really scared.  Mom and grandma had to leave me in our new apartment while they unpacked everything and so I was alone on and off.  I did not like it.  I barked and cried but thankfully they kept coming back!  Over the next couple of days they were gone a lot and would always come back with a lot of boxes and bags.  Then they would sit down and start building the furniture (my mom is pretty handy is you didn't know!!)

Today my mom had to take grandma back to the airport because she had to go back to our old house.  My mom had a hard time at first but I was there to comfort her and play with her so that she would feel better.  She had to leave for work today and was gone for along time and didn't get back until it was almost dark out!!

Tonight is our first night alone in our new home and mom is a little nervous but I am here to protect her and keep her safe.  This is a very exciting and new adventure for us but we have eachother to get through it.  It will be different that she is the only one to ever come home and I am going to miss my old house with my old family but I know this is the best thing for my mom!!!!

Some exciting things are happening right now but I don't want to write them until they are for sure because mom doesn't want me to jinx them!!!! I am really tired now and going to go lay in my bed while mom makes some dinner and maybe she will give me some because she thinks I am cute when I beg! :D
